About Republic Powersports San Antonio

We’re a multi-brand powersports and marine dealership serving the Greater San Antonio Metro, with roots here going back to 1973. Today we represent Honda, Yamaha, Yamaha Marine, SEA-DOO, BRP Can-Am, Polaris, and Suzuki — bringing several riding and boating categories together at one San Antonio-area location, right off I-35, about six miles north of the city.

We’re enthusiast-led, with an onsite owner-operator, and we’re part of Republic Powersports Group (Republic Powersports Holdings LLC). That combination — deep local history, new ownership resources, a broad brand lineup, and access to inventory across three stores — is what shapes how we serve riders and boaters today.

A Local History That Reaches Back to 1973

Our story here started in 1973. In 2005, Jeff Kent and Matt Goulais bought San Antonio Yamaha and built the brand lineup piece by piece as the business grew. That growth led to a purpose-built, 40,000-square-foot building in 2007.

In August 2026, Republic Powersports acquired the business and building — opening a new chapter while carrying forward decades of San Antonio history. We’re not a new store with no past; we’re an established local operation whose ownership and brand story have grown over time.
